In our video on Monday this week (click here if you missed it) we talked about sowing positive (thought)seeds and how it is up to us to create the positive environment in which we want to live.
We can be the source of positivity and inspiration … and we can destroy it just as quickly with sarcasm, teasing, cheap shots, and P*** taking!
So, how did you get on this week with eliminating these from your vocabulary? (Please let us know).
To expand on our thoughts from the video … whatever shows up in our outer world (good, or not so good), is always a reflection of what we think and believe in our inner world.
What we think and believe in our inner world is a function of the thought choices we make day in, day out. So, if we choose to turn up to work as the person giving out the cheap shots, how do you think that is going to impact on the other people, and the team around you?
What most people don’t fully understand is that we all have complete freedom over the choices we make in our thinking.
Yes, no matter what the circumstances with which we are presented.
What we don’t have, is freedom over the consequences of the choices we make.
We have the choice to participate fully in making change work positively for us – or not.
We have the choice to be optimistic and see the good in every situation and every person – or not.
We have the choice to enquire, to be curious and to challenge the status quo to make things better – or not.
We have the choice to develop ourselves and be filled with a positive attitude, gratitude, appreciation, energy, vitality, good health, etc – or not.
Which means we don’t have to be the negative person that turns up for work – do something about it; change your thinking – you owe it to yourself, the team and the organisation.
The one certainty for 2021 therefore is …
Whatever we choose to think and believe about ourselves, other people, the world we live in, work, etc … will be delivered to us in world we experience … in our (own made) reality!
So, every day is a CHOOSEDAY … please choose wisely!
