As a Director, or Senior Manager, you have a pivotal role in leading the way for positive change to take place in your organisation.
The new direction has been set, the strategies agreed, objectives determined … and the implementation is underway.
There’s an expectation from the majority of employees that transformation is going to happen. Keeping your people focused on the positive impact of the transformation in your organisation is one of biggest leadership challenges you and your peers face.
You know you have a big responsibility for enabling positive change, to win people’s hearts and minds to the new direction and new ways of doing things. But … do you know, and we mean really know, how you can, as a leader, personally do the right things to drive change successfully – and transform performance and results?
If you do know, you’ll be one of the few! Ghandi summed up the basic approach: “As a person changes their own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards them”.
So, Step 1 is a simple one …
Does every member of your in the Senior Team passionately share your joint vision and is willing to do whatever it takes to get there?
“Yes” or “no”? … “Maybe’s” or “most of them” is a “NO”!
If the answer to the question posed above is “no”, your change agenda is doomed to fail.
